AT THE ALLEY

By Miguel Angel Sanchez

1996

A woman was being murdered and Charlie saw when the assassin put a piece of paper in his pocket, took the weapon and started to run.

The assassin noticed that and came back to put and end to the life of the witness.

Charlie saw that the assassin was coming, so he turned around and realized that he was alone.

He began to run and suddenly the assassin overtook him; Charlie was frightened and he started to cry.

The assassin was in the middle of the alley and Charlie was in front of him.

Charlie said: “Please don’t kill me I have a wife and children”, the assassin moved his right hand and put it into his pocket like trying to take something out of it.

Charlie was looking around very worried trying to find something that could help him, then he saw a cop at the end of the alley, and he started to shout, !PLEASE HELP ME!

The cop heard Charlie’s voice and went to the alley in a rush, “Put your hands up” said the cop.

The assassin turned around and at the same time put his hand out of his pocket, the cop thinking that he was getting a gun out of it said !freeze! But the assassin didn’t hear that because he was a deaf man.

The cop shot him dead and he fell down with a piece of paper in his hand, “please help me my wife had an accident” was written on it.

They realized he was also dumb.
